Southwest Navajo

Welcome to the Southwest Navajo in Olden Times. The Navajo and the Apache arrived in the southwest at about the same time, in the 1300's, and they each brought a new culture to the land. They both raided the peaceful Pueblo tribes for food and other goods. Between the drought and the attacks on their crops by the new tribes in the area, the Pueblo decided to move on and leave their lands to the warring Navajo and Apache people.
