Native American Recipes in Olden Times - Corn Gravy Illustration

Corn Gravy

This recipe can be used on potatoes as a gravy or as a vegetable side dish.

Cook some meat (we use pork chops) in a skillet.

While those are cooking, cut the kernels off of left over corn on the cob.

After taking the meat out of the skillet, put corn into the oil.

Sprinkle in 2 heaping tablespoons of flour and stir until it has browned.

While stirring, pour in about 2 and 1/2 cups of milk. Stir until thick and bubbly. Serve hot.
