Have your students draw a long skinny rectangle. If they wish to get fancy, they can add arms to the sides, as we did below. Cut it out. And there's your bookmark.
Design your bookmark with permanent markers, stickers,or bits and pieces of things you glued.
Totem poles tell a story. Suggest kids write a very short story about something, and then illustrate their story using a totem pole.
