Chicken with Sweet Corn

2 stewing hens

3 cups dried sweet corn

1/2 cup navy beans

1 tablespoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon oregano

2 gallons water

Cut chicken into pieces. Cook in stewing kettle.
Add washed corn and beans.
Season with salt, pepper, and oregano.
Keep adding water to prevent drying. This is a festival dish.
